VM Publications is looking for a Michigan Artist!

Are you a Michigan artist? Do you want to see your name on a book? Do you want to earn a royalty every time a copy of that book sells? Keep reading. 

VM Publications is publishing a how to draw Michigan book for kids. The book will have around 40 pictures. Each picture will be accompanied by 15 or less steps showing how to draw it.

Only artists currently living in Michigan will be considered. 

The book will be marketed heavily to Michigan gift shops and will also be sold on Amazon and the publisher’s website.

To submit, draw the following 10 pictures in 15 or less steps that can be followed by newly budding artists. Include the steps. Super detailed is not the goal. Using all 15 steps is not the goal. If a picture can be drawn in five steps, do it in five. Each picture and its steps do not need to fit on the same page (they likely will not).

2. The Mackinac Bridge 

3. Ice Cream Cone (sugar or waffle)

4. Paul Bunyan

5. Campfire

6. Salmon

7. Deer

8. The Capitol Building in Lansing

9. Camping Scene (either a trailer or tent with a little campfire)

10. Apple Blossom

Put MICHIGAN ARTIST in the subject line. 

In the body of the email, include a short introduction, where you live in Michigan, and any ideas you have to market and sell the book.
