Poems About the Sunrise Side

An Anthology

Submission Guidelines:

• Submit up to four poems for consideration.

• Every poem must be titled.

• Poems must be about or inspired by the Sunrise Side.

• Submit rhyming or nonrhyming poems. 

• Poems can take any form. 

• Provide a 1 - 3 sentence introduction per poem.

Put “Sunrise Side Submission” in the subject line.

Poems must be submitted as PDF files, and all submitted poems must be their own PDF (up to four). Do not send multiple emails. Make sure all your poems are attached in one email. 

In the body of the email, provide a short biography that includes your connection to the Sunrise Side, where you live now, and 1 - 3 facts about yourself.

Published and unpublished poets are welcome to submit.

Deadline: September 30, 2026

Selected poets will be compensated with a free copy of the book.  

You do not have to currently reside on the Sunrise Side; it just needs to have touched your life. If you are a published poet, this is an opportunity to add to your résumé. If you are not published, this is an opportunity to begin your résumé and get some experience approaching independent publishers.

The book will be available wherever books are sold, and, more importantly, it will be available in as many stores and gift shops on the Sunrise Side as possible.
